ATA Certified Train the Trainer Course

Course Overview:

The DOT Urine Specimen Collector Train-the-Trainer Program is a comprehensive course designed to equip qualified individuals with the knowledge and skills to effectively train new DOT urine specimen collectors. This program ensures that trainers are fully prepared to educate others on the 49 CFR Part 40 regulations and maintain the highest standards of compliance. 

Trainer Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible as a trainer for this program, individuals must meet the following criteria:

  1. Completion of an approved DOT Urine Specimen Collector training program and possession of a training certificate.
  2. Proof of conducting DOT collections for a minimum of six months. 
  3. A letter of recommendation from a current or former client or employer attesting to the trainer's competence and professionalism.
  4. Must be a member in good standing with the National Drug and Alcohol Screening Association. 

Training Program Content:

The program will cover the following core areas:

1. Understanding and staying up-to-date with 49 CFR Part 40 regulations and any subsequent changes.

2. Mastering the requirements for training and qualifying DOT urine specimen collectors.

3. Techniques for effectively delivering training to new collectors.

5. Practical tips for engaging trainees and addressing common challenges.
